Rates

Resident rates are applicable for both Sri Lankans citizens and resident visa holders (Resident visa/NIC need to be presented at the hotel to validate the rate)

The room holds & allocation

The rooms will not be placed on hold at the time of the initial enquiry before the guest agrees to the specified rate and confirms their intention to proceed with the reservation.

The reservations will be made for a room category chosen by the guest, but not for a specific room in that category. The allocation of a specific room is subject to availability on the day of arrival and cannot be confirmed in advance.

Occupancy

If the number of guests specified in the initial booking exceeds the originally quoted amount, the hotel reserves the right to deny entry to additional guests.

However, if an exception is made and additional guests are allowed to stay, supplementary charges will be applied.

The responsibility for supervising children lies entirely with the parents or adults accompanying the booking party.

Food & Beverage

Room reservations are on

• Bed & breakfast basis rate includes breakfast and afternoon tea.

• Half board basis rate includes dinner, breakfast and tea/ coffee during meals and afternoon tea.

• Full board basis rate includes lunch, dinner, breakfast and tea/coffee during the meals and afternoon tea.

All meals on a booked basis for kids under the age of 2 years old. Children under 12 years will be served from the kid’s menu.

The last order time for dinner is 21.30 hours.

Stafford Bungalow has an in-house bar where guests can conveniently purchase liquor. However, if guests choose to bring their own alcohol, they will be required to pay corkage fees.

The applicable charges for corkage are listed as follows:

• Spirits – LKR 5,000 per bottle
• Wine & Champagne – LKR 3,500 per bottle
• Alcohol will not be served on designated dry days as mandated by the Sri Lankan government. Furthermore, guests are not permitted to consume alcohol purchased from outside in public or shared areas of the hotel during these dry days.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bedrooms and the indoor living/restaurant areas. Guests are kindly requested to utilize the outdoor areas within the hotel for smoking purposes.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

• Earliest Check-in time – 1400 Hrs
• Latest Check-out time – 1200 Hrs

Swimming Pool & Jacuzzi

The pool depth is 1.17m at the shallow end and 1.5m at the deep end. Diving is prohibited. It is an ungated pool with no lifeguard on duty. The booking party is solely responsible for the usage of the pool and the supervision of children.

Parking

Parking facilities are available at the hotel premises. Guests are kindly requested to park their vehicles in designated spaces directed by our gatekeeper, understanding that it is done so at their own risk.

Driver’s accommodation

Driver Accommodation is not available at Stafford Bungalow
We will provide details of local guest houses suitable for drivers and guides if required..

Pets

Pets are not allowed at the hotel.

Damages Policy

Stafford Bungalow reserves the right to impose charges on guests in the event of any damage caused to the property.

Payment Policy

50% payment will be charged at the time of booking and the remaining can be paid upon arrival at the hotel.

For stays scheduled during the peak season (20th December to 10th January) or long weekends, full payment will be required at the time of booking.

Once guests have agreed to go ahead with the reservation, we will reserve the room for a period of 48 hours (unless specified otherwise)

However, the booking will only be confirmed once payment is received. If payment or advance payment is not made within 48 hours (unless specified otherwise) the rooms will be automatically released from the system and made available for resale.

Cancellation Policy

Stafford Bungalow has a strict cancellation policy, and we regret we are unable to deviate from the policy due to the limited inventory we have.

Hence, please go through this and understand the policy constraints before confirming the reservation.

Continued

• Individual booking (maximum up to 2 rooms for 1 family) can be cancelled 14 days prior to the arrival date and any amount paid (minus bank charges) will be refunded to the guest.
• If a cancellation/no show or modification occurs within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, guests will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the accommodation charges.
• Group bookings (3 or more rooms) or full property buyouts can be cancelled 30 days prior to the arrival date and any amount paid (minus bank charges) will be refunded back to the guest.
• If a cancellation/no show or modification occurs within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date, guests will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the accommodation charges.
